Sandwich Integrated Preschool

Sandwich  Integrated Preschool Program
Growing Together, Learning Together

  • Our program brings together children with diverse learning needs, including typically developing children and children with developmental delays or disabilities. This inclusive environment fosters growth, friendship, and learning for all!

  • What is a Community Peer?

A community peer is a typically developing child who participates in our Integrated Preschool program alongside children with special education needs. Community peers serve as positive role models for social, language, and play skills while benefiting from a nurturing, inclusive preschool environment that promotes cooperation, empathy, and early learning for all children.

Community peers are chosen for the integrated preschool program through a lottery process. Children selected through the lottery will be screened prior to enrollment.

    • Licensed Teachers and Staff: Highly trained in early childhood and special education, providing personalized support.
    • Play-Based Learning: Engaging activities designed to encourage social, emotional, and academic development.
    • Small Class Sizes: Ensuring individualized attention and a supportive, nurturing atmosphere.
    • Collaborative Environment: Children learn, play, and grow together, developing empathy, communication skills, and confidence.
    • Peer Modeling: All children benefit from watching and learning from each other in a natural, inclusive setting.
    • Social Skills Development: Children build meaningful friendships and improve their communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Individualized Learning Plans: Customized strategies and activities tailored to meet each child’s unique needs and strengths.
