October 4, 2026

Good news reports. Bus 13 students got a shout out for great behavior. Students got a good news report from their teachers.

Good News... and photos from the week

Good news!  Bus 13 is rocking it with consistently great behavior on the bus!  In other good news, when students get "good news" reports from their teachers, they come to the office and we share that great news with the families (usually by a phone call home with the super proud student!).

This weeks photos show a student completing puzzles with our SRO Dan Halloran.  Students greet Lennon off the bus in the mornings.  Fridays are "dance party" day with free dance time before the first bell rings.  Mr. D has students join him every day to lead the Pledge of Allegiance.

Lastly - many, many, MANY thanks to the PTA for the "Scholastic Bucks" that purchased birthday books for every student.  This week the Birthday Book Fairy stopped by every classroom and September birthday students got to take a book of their choosing - to keep! Thank you again PTA for helping to fund this great birthday book program.

Red Sox Day!

Forestdale rallied and wore Red Sox gear and colors, with the hopes they would beat the Yankees. While we were festively dressed, our positive vibes could not sustain our team this year.  Next year, Red Sox!

Walk, Ride, or Roll To School Day

On Friday, October 9th, Sandwich Recreation, in partnership with the Sandwich Police and Fire Departments, will host a Walk, Ride, or Roll to School Day! This is a wonderful opportunity for students and families to start the school day with some fresh air, movement, and physical activity while connecting with other members of our school community.

The event will begin at 8:00 a.m. at the Oak Crest Cove beach parking area, where students and families will walk, ride, or roll together toward Forestdale. Additional information and details will be shared with families soon. We hope you’ll join us and help make this a fun and active start to the day!

Teacher Conferences

Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, October 21st, and Wednesday, November 4th, from 2:45–4:45 p.m. Teachers will share a sign-up link with families so you can select a conference time that works best for you.

All conferences will be held virtually to provide families with flexibility and convenience. If your family would prefer to meet with your child’s teacher in person, please indicate that when signing up and the teacher will make arrangements with you.
