August 31, 2026
Photo of a piece white-lined composition paper with the Blue Knight icon and the greeting, Welcome Home, Knights!
As we open the doors for a new school year, I want to share how much we’re looking forward to welcoming students back to campus,
Whether you have a seasoned senior ready to take on their final year, a confident sophomore, or a nervous seventh grader stepping into new territory, we know each stage comes with its own mix of excitement and uncertainty.
Please know that we are here to support your student and your family every step of the way. A strong partnership between home and school is essential to every student’s success.

We are committed to open, timely communication and welcome your questions, feedback, and ideas along the way.

Here’s to a happy and successful year ahead!
    Jeanne M. Nelson
    SMHS Principal
