Each Spring, the Friends of the Sandwich Public Library sponsors the Richard J. Connor Award. The award, in the amount of $5,000, will go to a graduating senior residing in Sandwich, regardless of where they go to school, and who is continuing their education as a full-time student at a fully accredited institution. Home schooled students are eligible to apply.
This award honors the Library's former director, Richard J. Connor, and our intent is to provide financial assistance towards the purchase of the recipient's textbooks, course materials, or other expenses for their continuing education.
Applications will be available to download and print, or be picked up at your school's guidance office and at the Sandwich Public Library. Students are required to submit a typed essay, along with their completed application.
